Players ages 9-14 years old (boys and girls). Our focus is on building basic skills and sharpening fundamentals all while building confidence and love for water polo.

Development program has 2 groups:

• BEGINNER:

  • Players in this group are learning the basic fundamentals of water polo: egg-beater, skulling, holding and throwing a ball. At the discretion of the coach, players will be invited to move to the advanced group.‍ ‍SWIM REQUIREMENT: All players MUST be able to safely swim 25 yards of freestyle non-stop and unassisted.

• ADVANCED:

  • Players in this group are proficient with egg beater, catching a ball, and shooting a ball and will be continuously refining those skills and developing higher level skills as they advance their understanding of the game.

*If you are unsure whether your player should be in the BEGINNER or ADVANCED group, please reach out to info@steelheadwaterpolo.com and we will guide you in registering your player for the appropriate group.
